Dr. Monica F. W. Lewis, CEO
Dr. Lewis serves as Candidate Ravnell's Campaign Manager and Strategist. She is the lead consultant of L2 Consulting Firm. She obtained her Doctorate in Education & Organizational Management. The firm specializes in Business and Professional Consulting & Training.

Mr. James O. Lewis, Jr.
A U.S. Army Veteran; He earned a Bachelors in Human Resource & Organizational Management. He is also the CEO of Life Enhancement Institute and currently works in workforce development and training.

Lauryn Lynch
A member of the L2 Consulting team; She has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Fashion Merchandising & minor in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her responsibilities include: Website, Digital Art Designer, & Social Media Manager. She is owner & CEO of Statement Agency. Monica’s experience includes having managed and produced marketing campaigns for major brands such as Olipop and Reebok. With her spare time she is active as a social justice advocate.

Mr. Javien Dorsey
A fourth year political science major at Hampton University. He serves as the campaign analyst for L2 Consulting. His role also encompasses the responsibility for campaign operations which focuses on canvassing and grassroots initiatives. He is member of the 100 Black Men of Hampton University.

Byron Temple
Campaign Treasurer

Byron Temple has lived in DeSoto, Texas for 37 years. He is a husband and devoted father. He is deeply committed to the place he calls home. Byron served the Dallas Fire Department for 37 years. During his service he was a paramedic 25 years and a paramedic instructor at UTSW. Byron is an active member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Byron was recently recognized for his service to the National Programs of the Fraternity, service to his community through civic activities. Byron attended the University of North Texas.
Sharon Temple
Campaign Manager and "Think Tank" Lead

Campaign Manager and Think Tank Lead, Sharon Temple has been a proud resident of DeSoto, Texas, for over 30 years and is deeply involved in community service and leadership. A longtime member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, she has served on multiple auxiliary committees. A retired pharmaceutical industry professional, Sharon has also contributed to civic initiatives, including the DeSoto Domestic Violence Advisory Commission. Sharon is also a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and a Charter Member of both the Alpha Beta Phi Omega Chapter (Grand Prairie) and Jack and Jill of America’s Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter. A graduate of Texas Woman’s University, Sharon remains committed to service, leadership, and the success of DeSoto and its residents.
Kelly Causey
Campaign Support

Kelly King Causey is a results-driven leader with over 30 years of experience as a Certified Project Management Professional and Electrical Engineer. She thrives on solving complex challenges and driving innovative solutions. As a passionate entrepreneur and the Owner and CEO of Press For Promotions, LLC, she brings sharp strategic insight and a proven track record of execution to the campaign, lending her expertise to help elect a visionary leader who will create lasting change for the city.
In the past, Kelly has also served as a campaign manager for Dr. June James, III during his run for the AISD School Board, where, despite limited resources, the campaign achieved 25% of the vote—a testament to her strategic approach and dedication to community involvement.
Kelly is a proud HBCU graduate of Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. She is a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a Chartered Member of the Alpha Beta Phi Omega Chapter.
Kelly is committed to contributing her expertise in project management, business leadership, and community-focused solutions to support the campaign’s efforts in driving growth, fostering economic development, and ensuring equitable opportunities for all residents.

Camesha Busby
Camesha holds a Master’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. With 15 years of dedicated service at Centex Citizens Credit Union, she currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing. Camesha has over eight years of experience in graphic design, She is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., where she holds a leadership position. With a strong background in management and finance, a deep commitment to community engagement, and a flair for creativity, Camesha combines her expertise with a dynamic and impactful presence that leaves a lasting impression.

Myrtle Davis
Myrtle, a previous resident of DeSoto, is an experienced business and marketing educator with a Bachelor of Business administration degree. Currently a High School Teacher and entrepreneur, she brings knowledge in strategic planning, consumer behavior, and marketing principles.

Gary Hawthorne
Gary has over 15 years experience in various leadership roles with responsibility for the Marketing Strategy and Marketing Campaign Development for Verizon, Gary brings a wealth of marketing expertise and insight. He is a member of the National Black MBA Association, a licensed TX Realtor, and has held leadership roles in Church, Community, and Social organizations. Gary has been a DeSoto resident for over 22 years.

Jillian Ravnell
Jillian, a graduate of UNT Denton, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. While at UNT she became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is an educator for Dallas ISD and works as Speech Therapist Assistant for Home Healthcare agencies. She has a heart for children and strives to ensure each and every child reaches their fullest potential despite their disability. Jillian brings a creative side and a different perspective to the campaign.

Silas Wilmore
Silas, a native of Louisiana, has been a resident of DeSoto for 12 years. He brings a wealth of experience and creative insights to the team. Silas has more than 15 years in video production and is a filmmaker. He also works as an account manager for a local commercial property company. Silas is a member of Metro Southwinds Church where he serves as undershepherd and leader of the young adult ministry.
